Interview with Rhonda Jenkins, Hapana's Director of Global Onboarding

Director of Global Onboarding Rhonda Jenkins is a cornerstone of life here at Hapana. We sit down with Rhonda to hear about her journey so far - and why she loves Hapana.

How has life at Hapana been so far? Tell us about your role in the company.

I have been with Hapana for a little over 4 years. I was hired to manage the Account Management team in March 2020, and the following week, COVID shut down the industry. It was a scary time as a brand-new employee. Hapana could have easily let me go in that instance, but instead chose to keep me on and shift my role into a Sales position. Hapana was committed to me, and I knew that I would be committed to Hapana for the long haul. Over the next couple of years, I took on the roles of Sales, Onboarding, and Account Manager. In August 2022, I moved into the role of Director of Onboarding. My journey with Hapana has been exciting, stressful, and most of all, fulfilling. I can't imagine working anywhere else.

Who is Rhonda Jenkins? Do you have any hobbies? Secret talents?

I am a huge advocate for children. I believe every child should be loved unconditionally and provided the means to be successful in life. I mentor young adults, teaching them the fundamentals of life. It's very rewarding when you see these young adults start making moves to graduate college, live independently, and start careers. My hobbies include traveling and spending time with my family.

Tell us a bit about what brought you to Hapana. What were you doing before you got here?

I worked in the fitness industry prior to Hapana. I loved the sector but left to explore some other options. After a few years, I decided it was time to get back into the industry I loved so much. The opportunity was presented to me and I jumped at the chance to be part of something great. I knew the moment I met the team that Hapana would do great things.

What was your first impression of Hapana? The team?

I saw the passion in their eyes when they spoke about Hapana. I immediately thought, “I want to be a part of this journey.” When the leadership sees the vision and shares it so passionately, you can't help but want to be a part of it.

What are you hoping to achieve at Hapana?

One day, Hapana is going to take over the industry. I want to be standing tall with the team and say, "WE did that!"
